Before you start
Bluetooth must be on: LibreELEC settings > Bluetooth > enable. A Raspberry Pi 4/5 has Bluetooth built in; otherwise a USB Bluetooth stick works (Bluetooth 5.0 or newer recommended).

First connection (once per controller)
1. Press the small round SYNC button on the controller until the lights run.
 • Pro Controller 2: on top, next to the USB-C port
 • Joy-Con 2: on the flat inner side between SL and SR
 • GameCube controller (Switch 2): on top of the controller
2. After a few seconds "Player 1: … connected" appears. The controller now works as an Xbox controller in Kodi and games.
3. SKZ Connect pairs the controller with this device at the same time.

Reconnecting
Just press any button (e.g. HOME) – no SYNC needed. This works as long as the controller has not been paired with another device using SYNC.

Other controllers (Xbox, PlayStation, Switch 1, 8BitDo …)
SKZ Connect pairs them automatically – just put them into pairing mode:
 • Xbox: press the pair button on top until the Xbox logo flashes quickly
 • PlayStation 4: hold SHARE + PS until the light bar flashes
 • PlayStation 5: hold CREATE + PS until the light flashes
 • Switch 1 Pro Controller / Joy-Con: press the SYNC button
 • 8BitDo: pairing button or as described in its manual (Switch or X-input mode)
 • Wii Remote / Wii U Pro Controller: press the red SYNC button (in the battery compartment or on the back)
After that, a button press reconnects them. In the SKZ Connect menu you can disconnect or forget them.

Joy-Con
A left and a right Joy-Con are combined into one controller automatically. For two players with one sideways Joy-Con each: Settings > Controller > turn off "Combine".

Back to the Switch 2 or a PC
A controller remembers only one device. On the Switch 2: attach the controller or press SYNC in "Controllers" > "Change Grip/Order". To use it here again afterwards: press SYNC.

Using Kodi
D-pad/stick: move · bottom button: select · right button: back (with the "By position" layout).
To change the mapping: Kodi settings > System > Input > Configure attached controllers.

Controller buttons in Kodi
Capture takes a screenshot, the C button opens the SKZ Connect menu. Change this under Settings > Kodi > Controller buttons in Kodi (also for the GL/GR back buttons of the Pro Controller 2). When a battery runs low, SKZ Connect shows a warning.

Player slots and gyro for emulators
Every controller gets the same player slot again the next time it connects. Emulators such as Dolphin, Cemu or Citra receive the motion data via DSU/Cemuhook (port 26760) – choose "DSU" or "Cemuhook" with 127.0.0.1 as motion source in the emulator. Settings > Emulators.

Games (RetroArch, Moonlight …)
The controller shows up as an "Xbox 360 Controller" everywhere and needs no mapping. Rumble works if the game supports it.

Problems?
• Nothing happens on SYNC: run the diagnostics (shows whether Bluetooth and the virtual controller are ready).
• Message "paired with another device": press SYNC to pair it here again.
• Input lag: move closer to the Bluetooth adapter; a USB extension cable for the stick helps against USB 3 interference.
• Connection is refused right away (errno 38): WiFi is interfering with Bluetooth – turn it off if unused (LibreELEC settings > Connections).
• Show the log and attach it when reporting a problem: github.com/DevCatSKZ/SKZ-Connect/issues
